This ministry prays for and creates prayer shawls and lap robes for those in need of a “Hug from God”. The prayer shawls are created in prayer and presented to the recipient as a gift from Good Shepherd Parish.
Wrapping oneself in the prayer shawl is actually the act of being wrapped in the love of God. Being covered in the shawl is akin to being enveloped in the Divine Presence and affords one that special place in which to be alone with God.
The gift of this Hug from God is a promise of our parish’s continued prayers for the recipient’s well being and support and knowing that the recipient is not alone. All are invited to be a part of this ministry.

- Crochet and knitting teachers.
